The team at Happy Dogs Training were friendly, responsive and thorough...it was a wonderful experience for both myself and Sadie. We did the basic 4-weeks basic manner/training class, and I would recommend them to anyone needing assistance. Piper put me at ease from the beginning in the initial interview and Laura was a wonderful trainer, easy-going and loving with Sadie, and always ensuring my questions were answered and volunteering different ideas for my hyper pup. While Sadie and I still have some work to do, Happy Dogs provided a great foundation, and I will be looking into joining their group classes in the future.

We started bringing our puppy to group classes (socialization and Star Puppy) soon after we got him. Piper and Deb have been wonderful! They understand and adapt to every puppy to make it a safe experience for them to be around other people and puppies along with a ton of new sights, sounds, and surfaces in the play yard. One example, our little guy did not like the cold, wet grass and refused to sit or down in class. Deb recognized this and brought out an elevated bed which worked really well.

When Sophie came to me, she was afraid of everything and everyone. Now, after Piper's training, she has grown into a confident, comfortable, and (sometimes) calm dog. We have had a fantastic experience with Happy Dogs! I recommend everyone I know with a dog to Piper and her team. Their positive reinforcement philosophy has helped my ring stress-y and sometimes reactive Yorkie gain the skills and confidence needed to compete at agility trials. As recently as a year ago I wasn't sure that this would ever be a possibility, but the combination of Reactive to Relaxed, private agility lessons, and weekly group agility lessons has made for one happy dog and a happy owner!

We train with happy dogs doing agility and we started 5 years ago when we knew 0 about the activity, other than how to sign up. We are now running at the highest tier and really enjoy the bond with our dog inside and outside the ring.

She truly helped me reach my training goals and was the next step we needed in our training journey. She explains things clearly and takes her time during the lessons to answer questions and transfer the skills and knowledge to you. It's as much of a learning experience for the humans as it is for the dogs which is how it should be!

We love Happy Dogs Training! They have a variety of training options and use positive reinforcement training. Our puppy loves the puppy socialization time. They help you learn to get your puppy used to the world and let them get used to interacting with other dogs under trainer supervision. They are great at pairing dog personalities so all the dogs have a good experience. We also had a great time in Manners class. The trainers were very patient and offered alternative ways to approach difficulties the dogs may have with learning to follow directions.

Piper is the best! She is patient and understanding. Penny is our first GSD and we were not prepared to train her in any way. Piper came into our home, set a plan and worked with us to ensure that our girl was successful and happy. We did group classes that were super helpful, as well. Penny is still a puppy at 10months old, so we will continue to work with Piper and Happy Dogs Training for at least another 6-12 months. Training never stops with a dog. I would recommend Happy Dogs Training to anyone and everyone!

Happy dogs training is THE PLACE to go for agility and training in North Charlotte. Piper and her team host the best group classes in the Lake Norman area. As another local trainer, I send all of my clients to Happy Dogs when they need group classes and are interested in trying out agility. Piper is hands down the most experienced agility instructor in the area and I love watching her work. She and Lori make learning agility exciting for the dogs and the humans. The puppy socialization class is a must for any puppies in Charlotte. Jump into the classes that are convenient for you, and pay as you go. Super fun and a great learning experience for young pups!

I went for the first time with my aussiedoodle whose name is Cooper for agility training. We had a private lesson with Piper. It could not have went any better. I knew 2 minutes in that she was a quality instructor. If you are considering doing any type of training with your dog look no farther. I would have given this 10 Stars if I could have!!!

I have a 4yr old pit mix who loves going to the agility classes (Mooresville location) - we both have a lot of fun learning the course, and I like to think she's gotten smarter from all the mental stimulation involved. Did private training with Piper for our pitbull puppy that was suffering from an overall lack of confidence and was so pleased with her work. I loved training my dogs with Piper Novick's positive training methods. I started with my 4 yr old Boston Terrier with 5 private agility classes. Both me and my dog were inexperienced but Piper made it stress free, fun, and successful. Then when we got our new puppy Piper came to our house each week for 5 weeks of puppy training. I learned a lot about positive training and it worked. Even with a stubborn Lhasa Apso! Then I decided to continue training my Boston and took Piper's Canine Good Citizen class. 5 weeks of fun training and bonding with my dog as we went to stores, parks, and other places to practice. On week 6 we passed the CGC Test. The other instructor Karen was outstanding as well.

I can't say enough good things about Happy Dogs. We just completed the AKC STAR puppy class with Deb. She is a great trainer. Very patient and knowledgeable.

Piper was a godsend, full of wisdom, patience, and guidance for me and my new rescue, Noel. He had some puppy growing pains and lots of anxiety about a new home. I was panicking about his howling and destructiveness, but I grew more confident about both of us from the very first session, which is a free consultation! The trainers here are amazing, loving people. These folks really know what they're talking about and are super patient with their students. We brought our little (big) lady here and they worked with us to find what motivated her to listen and adjusted to her learning style to give us the best training environment. Carol says HELLOOO! to her Happy dog teachers! Training is a lifelong thing, but they gave us the tools to do keep up with what we learned.

Lori has helped build my dog’s confidence through agility and I’ve seen such a big change in my pup! She takes it at Cassie’s pace and makes sure we take play breaks and structures the lesson in a way that best works with Cassie’s brain! I love that I’m able to book 30 minute lessons bc that’s about as long as Cassie can focus. I’ve also been doing the happy dog manners group class with deb and it has been great and they’ve been so helpful.

Dog Walking is wonderful! She is always quick to let us know how Remi is doing; to send us pictures of their adventures together (of course Remi is always smiling :-); to refill Remi’s water bowl; and she even brings in our packages off the front porch when she stops in! We are truly grateful that Olivia takes such good care of Remi and that Remi has Olivia in her life.

I have yet to meet anyone who understands dogs better or who is more effective at training them than Piper. There have been so many times when she has suggested a training tip or way of handling my dogs that gets immediate results because it makes sense to the dog. Her passion for dogs and dog training is reflected by her own success as an international agilty competitor and by the success and enthusiasm of her students (including myself and my 2 children). We wouldn't have advanced in agilty as far as we have without her, not only has she helped us make progress much faster than with other trainers, she has made the learning process a real joy for us and the dogs.

Happy Dogs does specialty training for my pup Ramsay. They are training him in Agility and Rally. Our agility trainer is excellent and I plan on arranging individual lessons with her. We just started in Rally and am also please. Keep up the great work !

Shoutout to Deb Falank and Happy Dogs Training! Jack and I had a good partnering foundation already but I could not be happier about our growth in the last year. Not only do we move as a team -- to the point of participating and having success in Rally competitions -- but we can now enjoy more fully outside activities in our day to day life. My dog Benny, and I, embarked upon this journey; of relationship, learning, vulnerability, a big goal of putting on a beach show at our 4th of July celebration. He’s a shelter pup, I’m 58, but we’re doing it together. Lori is our trainer, and had been outstanding, whether it’s group agility or private lessons. Bennys confidence has grown so much it’s amazing. Before training it would take 30 mns to get him in the car. Now he jumps in like a A student going to school. He now has the skills and discipline to make people smile/laugh/coo without acting like a wild crazy dog, which only served to undermine his intent and get him in trouble.
